FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q. How do we operate regarding Covid-19?
 

A. We are operating under guidelines from the Victorian State Government and we have a Covid Safe plan and collecting contact details of all tour cutomers in place. We have one driver and guide for the tour and we can take up to 11 people (where physical distancing of 1.5 metres is possibe). 

Q. Why should you choose a wine tour with Phillip Island Wine Tours?

A. Firstly we have great reviews and people not only have fun with us they get a bit of wine education as well.

Most importantly we are fully compliant with Victorian transport and tourism regulations including accredited vehicles and drivers, the required transport and tourism licenses, we are a Sustainable Tourism Accredited Business and have liability insurance. You can trust that when you get in our vehicles, they are fully road worthy.

Q. Where will you be picked up from and dropped off after the wine tour?

A. We pick up and return to your accommodation on Phillip Island and San Remo. Contact Dianne on +61 408 034 080. We will confirm this with you prior to your tour.

Q. How long will the wine take?

A. Depending on the wine tour you choose, ranging from 11am – 4.30pm or 9.30am to 5.00pm. See the tours on the web site for the times.

Q. Can you choose the wineries we go to on the wine tour?

A. We do have pre-set itineraries; however, we can change our visits to the tastes of the tour group. Depending on the tour and the date you have chosen, we will compile a personalised itinerary for you based upon what we consider the best venues that are available for your group size and as well as what venues are available on that particular day. You will be contacted and discuss what interests you have and what suits your group.

Q. Dietary Requirements?

A. Please let us know as soon as you book a wine tour if you have any special dietary requirements.

Q. Can you consume alcohol in the vehicles?

A. Due to local legislation you are unable to consume alcohol in the vehicle. You will have plenty of time to enjoy the wine and have fun at the wineries.

Q. How many people will be on the tour?

A. We have a minimum of 2 to a maximum of 11 customers on any wine tour. We offer only private tours. You can book the wine tour as a private tour up to 24 people. Contact Dianne to discuss.

Q. What is the minimum number required for a wine tour?

A. The minimum number to run a private wine tour is 2 people. 

Q. Minimum age for a wine tour?

A. All our wine tours there is a minimum age of 21 years. If you have children or teenage children, please contact Dianne to discuss.

Q. Are the wine tours suitable for those with mobility issues?

A. We do not have wheelchair accessible vehicles.

Q. Do you charge a deposit and what is your cancellation policy?

A. Yes, to secure your preferred tour and date we ask for a 50% deposit to finalise your booking. Full payment is required within two weeks of your tour or with discussions with Dianne you may be able to pay on the date of your tour.

Q. Do you charge additional fees for credit cards?

A. You have the option to book your wine tour with your credit card and there is an extra merchant fee charged or you can pay by internet banking without any fees charged via an invoice

Q. I want to buy a wine tour voucher for friends and family – do you have vouchers?

A. Yes, we can provide you with a gift voucher. The voucher is valid for 12 months – not refundable for cash . The recipients can contact us when they want to book their tour – we recommend a least a weeks’ notice.
